We live in possibly the coolest of all the cool neighborhoods inside the “loop” in Houston. Beside the neighborliness of its inhabitants, we have some famous people living here.

We have an astronaut, the one farthest to the right. Koichi Wakata helped with the countdown to 2014 in Time’s square, from the space station.

We also have Joan Son, an international star in the artful business of folding paper. She will be having an exhibit at the Jung Center by the Houston Museum of Fine Art in April.

The exhibit is called “Time Travelers”. It features human-being-size paper dresses made in the likenesses of the paper dresses she designed when she was a child. She uses the quote from Carl Jung, “What did you do as a child that made the hours go like minutes? Herein lies the key to your earthy pursuits.”
